Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) strongly condemns the Illinois Student Government at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for passing a Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) resolution.

The passage of this discriminatory resolution is indicative of a disturbing trend of antisemitism at UIUC. Universities should be pillars of truth, academic freedom, and open discourse, and when these values are compromised for any group, including Jewish and Zionist students, university administrators must respond appropriately.

ACF thanks Chancellor Robert Jones for his strong stance against antisemitism earlier this year, and we are confident that he will continue to make it clear that there is no place for hate on campus.

About ACF: Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) is America’s unified alumni voice on issues of antisemitism, demonization of Israel, and bigotry. With over thirty-five chapters, ACF positions thousands of alumni on the front lines of key issues at their alma maters and works to ensure that universities remain pillars of open dialogue and equal opportunity for all students.
